Yondr Program - Cell phone pouch!
Heritage Middle School is implementing the Yondr Cell Phone Pouch system. Every student will secure their phone in a personally assigned Yondr pouch when they arrive to school. Students will maintain possession of their phones and will not use them until their pouches are opened at the end of the day. Students are expected to bring their pouches back to school each morning. This is to promote a phone-free space to help optimize teaching and learning. If you have any questions or if there is an emergency and you need to contact your child, please reach out to the main office at 845-563-3750. You can also visit for more detailed information.
Cell Phone Policy!
Cell phones must be turned off and in a Yondr pouch for the entire school day!
1st offense - The student and administration will review the policy of no cell phone use.
2nd offense - An administrator will review the policy with the student and parent. The parent will be notified that future violations can result in suspension, revocation of the student's privilege to have a phone in school.
3rd offense - The phone will be confiscated and secured in the Main Office until the end of the day. The student's privilege will be suspended or revoked and the student will be subject to other disciplinary action (ex. suspension).
Working Papers!
If your child is 14 years old, he/she can get their working papers in the Health Office. They need a physical within a year to get working papers. If your child is turning 14 years old over the summer, he/she can get their working papers at NFA Main.
